Zyban
Zyban (bupropion) is an oral tablet taken to help you quit smoking. Zyban is only available on a doctor’s prescription. Zyban has an antidepressant action but its affect may not be related to this action. There are theories about Zyban having a blocking affect on nicotine. In trials Zyban approximately doubles the chances for quitting smoking a few months from quit date. Side Affects: 1. Headache or Migraine
2. Nausea and vomiting
3. Constipation
4. Confusion and dizziness
5. Weight loss or gain
6. Itching or skin rashes Important information: Do not take Zyban if you have epilepsy or a seizure disorder. Zyban causes mood or behavior changes and anxiety. You should avoid drinking alcohol during the taking of Zyban as this may increase your risk of getting a seizure. |
