Porsche 944 Turbo
The Turbo version (Type 951) of the 944 was introduced in 1986. It was powered by a turbo charged in-line 4-cylinder engine that produced 220 horsepower. The turbo version had vast improvements in the aerodynamics of the vehicle. To add to the performance of the vehicle, the suspension and gearbox were modified, and wider wheels were used. The following are technical data from the driver's manual of the 944 Turbo (1986): DIN-horsepower: 162kW at 5800rpm DIN-Torque: 330Nm at 3500rpm Max rpm: 6500 Max Speed: 245km/h Acceleration: 0-100km/h 6.3seconds The Porsche 944 Turbo was and is still an amazing sports car with excellently balanced handling and very good performance both on the track and in traffic.
