Credit Report A credit report is history of an individual or companies borrowing and repaying. It contains information such as late payments; bankruptcy, accounts and personal information such as address and contact details. In many countries the credit bureaus use a credit score based on this information to represent credit worthiness of an individual. Factors affecting your credit score: 1. Payment record (overdue accounts will lower your rating) 2. Control of debt (lenders give higher scores to borrowers living within their means) 3. Credit not used, for example the person that have unused credit cards will have a higher score than somebody without the before mentioned. Credit Bureaus: Credit bureaus are companies that keep peoples credit records/history. These companies vary from country to country and are queried by lenders when they need to make a decision on granting credit to an individual.
